Academic year is divided into two semesters: winter semester and summer semester.
Introduction to study is intended for students enrolled in first year of Bachelor study programmes, while the specific date is assigned by Dean of the Faculty or Director of Institute of Management in the academic year schedule for the relevant part of STU.
Teaching period consists of 13 weeks in each semester.
In justified cases, the Dean of Faculty or Director of Institute of Management may determine in the academic year schedule for the relevant part of the STU the implementation of selected educational activities within the subject, which are provided in the form of block teaching, also during the first two weeks of the academic year.
Selected educational activities, which are excursions, professional experiences and training courses, may also be carried out during the holidays.
Examination period consists of 7 weeks in each semester. The last week of the examination period is intended mainly for students with specific needs, first and second-cycle students with an individual study plan, and for conducting alternative exam dates.
There are 47 days of holidays (working days).
