FACULTY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING (SvF)
The graduates of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the STU enjoy a wide range of employment opportunities. They have the skills to prepare, project, organize and manage the building of underground and engineering constructions, water management structures, to carry out and manage work in the fields of geodesy and cartography. They are capable of working in the investment and economic areas, in research or educational and training institutions, computer centres, and are prepared for work in private enterprises, too.
FACULTY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (SjF)
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the STU has the longest history of teaching in the study fields of mechanical engineering in Slovakia. Its graduates find employment not only in classic mechanical engineering, but also in the automobile industry, electrical engineering, food processing, and chemical industries, civil engineering, energetics, metallurgy, and wherever mechanical engineering equipment is used. Graduates have achieved significant posts in world-renowned companies such as Volkswagen, Peugeot - Citroën, Siemens, IBM, BMW, Mercedes, and others.
FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (FEI)
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the STU and Information Technology occupies the position as a significant centre in the field of science, research and development for information and telecommunication systems and technologies, electronics and electrical engineering and their application, automated systems and methods of their management, power engineering and nuclear power engineering. The areas of focus correspond to the latest trends and priorities in the European Union and around the world.
FACULTY OF CHEMICAL AND FOOD TECHNOLOGY (FCHPT)
The Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of the STU is a sovereign leader among the faculties of technology in Slovakia. It achieves significant results in the field of education and research. It is the only faculty which provides tertiary education based on excellence in chemical-engineering and science-theoretical fundamentals, educating engineers for all sectors within the chemical and food industries.
FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE (FA)
The Faculty of Architecture of the STU is the largest educational institution for architects in the Slovak Republic. It provides a broad based vocational training for students, oriented at: creative artistic, project and design activities, as well as research and educational activity in the field of architecture, town-planning, territorial planning and design of proposed dwelling units, civil, industrial and agricultural buildings, objects and their ensembles; at the reconstruction of towns, monument renovation and protection; at proposals for interiors, exhibitions, and in the field of design; at planning and design of landscape creation and large territorial formations, construction and reconstruction of building sites and their parts, for the creation of a human environment.

FACULTY OF MATERIALS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN TRNAVA (MTF)
The Faculty of Materials Science and Technology of the STU in Trnava is oriented on the education of a university graduate for a broad area of industrial production, including its management, control, automation and safety aspects. The Faculty closely cooperates with the business sphere. In Slovakia, it has a leading position in the field of materials research and production technologies and is also recognised in the European research.
FACULTY OF INFORMATICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES (FIIT)
The Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies of the STU covers in depth the area of informatics and information technologies in research and education. It is the first faculty in Slovakia with such mission. It has a long tradition in IT in education and research and has achieved many outstanding results.
Institute of Management (UM)
The Institute of Management of the STU is the pedagogic, research and scientific unit of the Slovak University of Technology. It is providing research and pedagogic in Bratislava activities in the area of management and urban planning, closely cooperating with other university units, domestic and foreign universities and other scientific and academic institutions. It guarantees the study pro- grammes and specific study courses and education modules that are related to its profile and it takes care of integration of the STU capacities in management and planning study programmes, interdisciplinary study programmes that have the university character.
