STU issues graduate documents (diploma, state examination certificate and diploma supplement) in dual language form (Slovak and English), starting from June 2013. Documents are issued to graduates free of charge and are usually handed over during a graduation ceremony.
Before 2013, graduate documents were issued in Slovak by default, and in English upon request. Currently, STU cannot retroactively issue documents in English for graduates that did not request to have their original documents issued in English. In such cases, a certified translator (certified by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak republic) will translate them. If you have not been issued a document in English, a duplicate cannot be issued.
If you have not received your original documents at a graduate ceremony, they can be sent to you by post via Slovak Post as a signed-for package, after payment of postal fees. Information for payment:

Duplicates are issued to STU graduates based on an e-application .pdf form that needs to be downloaded, filled out and signed, then sent via email 
with the following documents:
- proof of payment
- copy of ID
- copy of original document (if available)

Types of duplicates
Verification is confirmation of education at STU or of a graduate documents, issued in Slovak or English.

In cases that you require the final verification to be shared with a third party (employment screening companies such as HireRight, FirstAdvantage, World Education Services/WES, and others), you must supply a consent to sharing of personal data with a third party. Please choose one based on the country of recipient:
- Consent for EU member states and EEA (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden).
- Consent for third countries guaranteeing adequate protection (Principality of Andorra, Argentina, Faroe Islands, Guernsey, Israel, Jersey, New Zealand, Canada, Isle of Man, Switzerland, Oriental Republic of Uruguay, United States of America (companies under the Privacy Shield regime) - specific form of transfer)
- Consent for third countries not guaranteeing adequate protection (all other)
Applicant to all levels of study at STU that have finished their previous education outside of the Slovak republic must submit a decision of recognition along with their application.
