Every applicant that has successfully completed their secondary education abroad is obliged to, together with the application for bachelor study programs at the Slovak University of Technology, submit a confirmation/nostrification of equivalence of the documents obtained abroad. This does not apply for documents obtained in the Czech Republic (more information about documents of secondary education issued in the Czech Republic can be found here)
A ruling of confirmation/nostrification is issued by the district authorities in specific residences of districts of the Slovak

An application for confirmation/nostrification of documents includes, according to §36 of the Act:

| 4. | title and address of a certified high school which has issued documents of education |

Along with the application, the following documents are also submitted, according to §36, article 1 and 2 of the Act:
| 1. | copy of proof of identification |
| 2. | certified copy of the document of completed education, translated into the Slovak language |
| 3. | summary of completed subjects and examinations, translated into the Slovak language |
| 4. | confirmation from a certified high school concerning the extent of applied teachings, if the application concerns secondary |
| 5. | verification of the authenticity of signatures and schools stamps on the document of completed education, issued by the relevant body in the state of origin (apostille) |
| 6. | proof of payment of fee (eStamp/eKolok) |
The applicant is obliged to submit a translated version of all documents into the Slovak language.
Automatic confirmation of documents of education for the purpose of continuing studies
A document of education issued by an institution of a member state, or a state which is a signatory of a convention on the mutual recognition of education documents that binds the Slovak
An application includes:

According to paragraph 1, the agreement concerns, besides confirmation necessary for performance of a regulated profession (medical workers, educator, certain licences, etc.), all graduates of Czech primary, secondary and tertiary schools as well.No graduate of Czech studies (whether college or secondary) shall not have to certify gained education and every document shall be automatically applicable (besides confirmation for the performance of regulated professions)
A graduate can freely continue their studies on a Slovak or Czech school without having a confirmed educational document.
The registration of an academic title into and identity card shall be simplified. A graduate can register their gained title into an identity card through the same process a Slovak graduate would, without the need of a confirmed diploma.
Moreover, there is no necessity for the confirmation of education in order to
performs unregulated professions, which are most professionson the job market.
