Central laboratories of Faculty of Civil Engineering of SUT has four parts:
- Laboratory of Civil Engineering Buildings
- Laboratory of Transportation Engineering
- Laboratory of Bearing Structures
- Testing Laboratory of Faculty of Civil Engineering of STU ( accredited according EN ISO/IEC 17 025).
Laboratory of Bearing Structures and Testing Laboratory of Faculty of Civil Engineering

Laboratory of Bearing Structures provides destructive and nondestructive testing of properties of concrete, steel, wood, masonry, structures and its parts in laboratory and in site. Laboratory provide diagnostics of existing buildings.
Testing Laboratory of Faculty of Civil Engineering of STU provides accredited testing of concrete, steel, wood, masonry structures and parts according to selected european and national standards (see www.snas.sk). Expertises and expert opinions of load bearing structures for suppliers and users of building, engineering and industrial constructions.
Latest activities:
Diagnostics and tests of materials and structures for suppliers of buildings of nuclear power plant Mochovce EMO34 (Inžinierske stavby Košice, Chladiace veže Praha, Chladiace veže Bohunice, Strabag). Expertises and expert opinions of load bearing structures for suppliers and users of building, engineering and industrial constructions.
