Description:
The aim of the laboratory of power systems is study of electrical parameters and phenomena during the power system operation. This laboratory provides for students an opportunity to simulate by the laboratory model many various operation states such as short circuits, ground faults, Ferranti effect, switching operations in 400 kV substations, generator synchronization, etc. The laboratory model of the power system is built in 1 : 1 000 scale (1V : 1 000 V) and provides a real view on electrical parameters in the power system. Students will be able to verify their theoretical knowledge and gain experience in regard to the real operation state in the power system.
Laboratory model of the power system consists of eleven panels:
- Generator – panel of a generator with measuring of voltage, current, frequency and power. Panel consist of a synchro-check measuring for the generator synchronization with network,
- Generator transformer – transformer with a measuring of phase shift between the primary and the secondary voltage,
- Substation 400kV with double bus-bar and one auxiliary bus-bar – model of a substation with manual switching of circuit breakers and disconnector as in the real substation. This model provides switching options between two bus-bars, auxiliary bus-bar and five branches,
- Two parallel lines 400kV – model of two parallel lines by the Steinmetz power line element,
- Substation 400kV with possibility of connection to other networks and consumptions – substation with a synchro-check for synchronization with other networks,
- Transformer 400/110kV
- Line 110kV – model of a line by the Gama power line element,
- Transformer 110/22kV – transformer with an option of adjustable impedance setting in the node of 22kV winding,
- Substation 22kV with substitution of distribution network – substation with a possibility of substitution of the distribution network connection allowing to simulate real operation states,
- Two parallel lines 22kV –two parallel lines with connectors in selected lengths of power lines for a possibility of measuring and simulating ground faults and short circuits in a different length of the power line. Panel consists of measuring of electrical parameters at the beginning and the end of the power lines,
- Substation 22kV – panel with a possibility of connection of other measuring devices and devices representing consumption.
