In the STU internal system, the authorities, scope, and responsibilities of individual structures (bodies), employees, and stakeholders are defined to ensure the quality of the provided education and related activities.
The Internal Quality Assurance System Board (hereinafter referred to as the "IQAS Board") is a governing body of STU responsible for managing the internal quality assurance system of educational activities, scientific research activities, habilitation procedures, procedures for appointing professors, and other related activities. The position, mission, and activities of the board are governed by internal regulation no. 6/2021 Internal Quality Assurance System Board at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
The members of the IQAS Board include leading experts in the fields in which STU carries out educational, research, developmental, artistic, and other creative activities. The board includes representatives from internal and external environments, student representatives from the second or third level of study, and representatives of employers.
To enhance efficiency and ensure professional evaluation, the IQAS Board establishes working groups. These are formed ad hoc and include specialists in the relevant field of study or habilitation and inauguration procedures, representatives from industry, and students, ensuring expertise and impartiality in assessments. The members of these working groups must not have any conflicts of interest concerning the subject under review. In the case of assessing doctoral study programmes or study programmes in general, at least one external member must be from abroad.

The Study Programme Board (hereinafter referred to as the "SP Board") is an advisory body to the guarantor of the study programme in the design, modification, periodic evaluation, and improvement of the study programme. The SP Board consists of at least three STU employees, three students, and three representatives of external stakeholders, including employers, industry partners, and alumni.
