prof. Ing. Maximilián Strémy, PhD.
Vice-rector for Strategic Projects, Development, Innovation and Praxis
Maximilián Strémy was in the period 2018 – 2021 the Vice-Dean for foreign relations and international projects of the STU Faculty of Materials Science and Technology (STU MTF) in Trnava. He is a member of the ECLC Education Working Group within the EIT RAW Materials Academy Program, and a member of the STU MTF Scientific Board. His home office is the Institute of Advanced Technology Research; he is the Director of SlovakION. He teaches at the STU MTF UIAM (Institute of Applied Informatics, Automation and Mechatronics), and supervises Master and Bachelor theses and PhD dissertations. He is a co-guarantor of study programme of Automation for PhD degree. He is a successful investigator of several international and domestic projects, including the H2020 Project in the call of teaming, which he coordinated. He has lectured in Slovakia and abroad; in 2018-2019 he represented the Slovak Republic as an expert within the EC H2020international project. In the period 2014-2018, he was Deputy of the STU MTF Institute of Advanced Technology Research (UVPT).
In 2015, he established and led (until 2020) the Minerva Group, a non-profit organization and a volunteer group of the STU young researchers and. In the period 2007-2014, he was the Director of the Qintec s.r.o. Company focused on IT, automation, scientific-research and economic projects, and simultaneously a teacher and researcher at the STU MTF in Trnava, where he completed his Master (in 2002) and Doctoral studies (in 2009) and was habilitated (in 2012).
