The Slovak University of Technology is interested in building contacts with partners in Brazil. Oliver Moravčík, STU Rector, discussed the possibilities and perspectives cooperation with Gabriel Boff Moreira, the Ambassador of the largest country in South America, at the STU Rector’s Office.
“Powerful and advanced economy of the Federative Republic of Brazil represents a very strong potential for cooperation in various fields of science, research and technology,” said Ambassador Moreira. Oliver Moravčík, the STU Rector, pointed out that the cooperation can be built upon the current issues of sustainability common to our environments. “Likewise, issues of cyber security and artificial intelligence are being addressed on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean,” he added.
"It is precisely in this area that STU would welcome cooperation with the University of Sao Paulo. It would concern the students (preferably doctoral students), scientists and teachers’ mobility," said Rector Moravčík, and asked Ambassador Moreira for support in establishing contacts in Brazil.
The Ambassador supported the idea of building contacts by helping to identify the technology centres or universities suitable for cooperation with STU. Valuable Portugal/Brazil relations and joint university projects might also help, added Rector Moravčík.
