Klimatická zmena, biodiverzita, umelá inteligencia, ale aj duševné zdravie. To sú len niektoré z tém už 18. ročníka najväčšieho vedecko-popularizačného podujatia na Slovensku - Európskej noci vedy. Na návštevníkov tradičného podujatia, ktoré bude 27. septembra v Bratislave, Košiciach, Banskej Bystrici, Žiline a Poprade, opäť čakajú desiatky stánkov, v ktorých si budú môcť vyskúšať experimenty, či programovanie a riadenie robotov. Chýbať nebudú ani prezentácie výskumníkov a výskumníčok zo Slovenskej technickej univerzity v Bratislave.
Už tradične v posledný septembrový piatok budú mať nielen nadšenci vedy možnosť vyskúšať si vedu naživo. Čaká na nich množstvo pokusov, praktické ukážky z robotiky, poučné prednášky, ale najmä možnosť porozprávať sa o úlohe vedy v dnešnej spoločnosti so stovkami slovenských a zahraničných vedcov a vedkýň. „Dnešná doba prináša aj čoraz väčšiu komplexnosť výziev, na ktoré veda hľadá odpoveď. Napríklad aj klimatická zmena nie je len environmentálnou témou, či otázkou vývoja nových technológií, ale zasahuje cez klimatickú migráciu aj do sociálnej, či kultúrnej oblasti,“ vysvetľuje voľbu témy podujatia Ľubomír Bilský, riaditeľ o. z. Slovenská organizácia pre výskumné a vývojové aktivity (SOVVA), ktorá Európsku noc vedy spoločne s partnermi Slovenská akadémia vied (SAV), Centrum vedecko-technických informácií SR (CVTI SR) a Euractiv organizuje.
Najväčší festival vedy usporiadajú aj tento rok v rovnaký deň súbežne v 25 európskych krajinách vrátane Slovenska. V Bratislave budú jednou z hlavných atrakcií nielen pre fanúšikov vedy praktické ukážky využitia stavebného ROBOTníka Sama, robota od Boston Dynamics, ktorý pomáha na stavbách. „Návštevníci sa dozvedia aj to, či alebo kedy nahradia robotníkov na stavbách roboty. V rámci témy robotiky bude napríklad aj diskusia na tému využívania umelej inteligencie v humanoidných robotoch,“ dodáva Ľ. Bilský.
Okrem toho sa prednášky v bratislavskej Starej tržnici budú venovať aj témam duševného zdravia či udržateľnej módy. „Hoci si to možno neuvedomujeme, aj pri zamedzení environmentálnych dopadov nadprodukcie oblečenia ide o komplexnú otázku, ktorú riešia vedci nielen z pohľadu vývoja ekologickejších materiálov, ale aj ich kolegovia so spoločenských vied skúmajúci nákupné správanie spotrebiteľov,“ dodáva Ľ. Bilský. Súčasťou programu bude aj módna prehliadka pod označením Slow Fashion Show.
V bratislavskej Starej tržnici sa rozhodli usporiadatelia aj pre nový prvok podujatia vo forme štyroch workshopových zón venovaných téme prírody, spoločnosti, technológiám a slnku. „Posledná téma nie je zvolená náhodne. Slnko je nevyhnutným predpokladom vzniku a vývoja života na Zemi a v rámci podujatia bude predstavená aj iniciatíva vybudovania Európskeho solárneho teleskopu. Ide iba o druhý teleskop svojho druhu na svete, ktorý má pomôcť pochopiť fyzikálnej javy na tejto, pre nás životodarnej hviezde,“ vysvetľuje Ľ. Bilský.
Návštevníkom Európskej noci vedy v Bratislave spríjemní podujatie aj kultúrny program. Vystúpi hudobníčka Barbara Weiss a svoju „vedeckú“ stand-up show predstaví komik Tomáš Hudák.
