Delegácia Slovenskej technickej univerzity pod vedením prorektora Maximiliána Strémyho absolvovala 11. a 12. septembra v Bruseli stretnutia so zástupcami európskych univerzít. Ich cieľom bolo identifikovať možnosti spolupráce a zároveň podporiť ambície STU stať sa výraznejším hráčom na európskej scéne a aktívnejším členom európskej siete univerzít UnILiON.
Delegácia STU sa stretla so zástupcami univerzity Aix-Marseille, Bristolskej univerzity a univerzity v meste Bath, francúzskej École Polytechnique, holandskej Technickej univerzity v Eindhovene, Švajčiarskeho federálneho technologického inštitútu v Lausanne, Izraelského technologického inštitútu Technion a Nórskej univerzity vedy a techniky. Okrem toho rokovala so zástupcami univerzitnej siete UnILiON, univerzitnej aliancie EuroTech, zástupcami Bavorska a tiež s veľvyslankyňou Máriou Malovou zo Stáleho zastúpenia SR pri EÚ. Program organizoval Milan Matlovič, permanentný zástupca STU v Bruseli, čo je pilotný program pod vedením prorektora Strémyho. Súčasťou delegácie bol aj riaditeľ Projektového strediska STU Peter Cuninka a Martin Donoval zo Strediska pre projekty a spoluprácu s praxou FEI STU.
Zámerom stretnutí bolo s jednotlivými partnermi identifikovať relevantné prieniky a možnosti spolupráce a zároveň podporiť ambície STU stať sa výraznejším hráčom na európskej scéne a aktívnejším členom európskej siete univerzít UnILiON. STU je prvou slovenskou a druhou univerzitou z krajín V4 v sieti UnILiON.
„Výsledkom stretnutí je zoznam príležitostí pre univerzitu a jednotlivé fakulty pre zapojenie sa do spoločných projektov a iniciatív s európskymi partnermi, ktoré majú potenciál priniesť univerzite financie, podporiť jej výskumné aktivity a upevniť jej medzinárodný obraz relevantného partnera pre spoluprácu v Európe,“ zhodnotil prorektor STU pre strategické projekty, rozvoj, inovácie a prax Maximilián Strémy.
V ďalších krokoch bude STU pokračovať v komunikácii s partnermi, rozvíjať aktivity a synergiu v identifikovaných oblastiach a projektoch spoločného záujmu.
