V stredu 6. júna v Zrkadlovej sieni Primaciálneho paláca bol oficiálne ukončený 7. ročník medzinárodnej univerzitnej študentskej súťaže MUNISS na tému SMART CITY.
Do medziuniverzitnej súťaže sa tohto roku zapojilo 5 súťažných tímov – 2 slovenské, 3 české z STU v Bratislave a Masarykovej univerzity, VUT v Brne a Mendelevovej univerzity. Študentské tímy v prípade Bratislavy hľadali rozumné spôsoby premeny Obchodnej ulice a priestranstva pred hotelom Crowne Plaza na príjemnejšie miesto pre život. V prípade Brna sa študenti zamerali na smart riešenia pre novú mestskú štvrť v Brne.
Novinkou tohto ročníka bolo zároveň rozšírenie súťažnej úlohy o sociálny a environmentálny faktor, pokiaľ ide o riešenie a zmierňovanie negatívneho javu bezdomovectva a udržateľného hospodárenia so zrážkovou vodou.
S návrhmi pre Obchodnú ulicu zvíťazili tímy, v ktorých boli študenti Ústavu manažmentu STU, Fakulty architektúry STU a partnerských univerzít z Brna. Kvalita návrhov bola veľmi vysoká, preto sa hodnotiaca komisia rozhodla aj v tomto ročníku udeliť 2 prvé miesta.
„Bratislava je mladé mesto, ale s bohatou históriou. Tohto roku navyše oslavuje 25. výročie svojej existencie ako hlavného mesta samostatného Slovenska. Ako moderná európska metropola chceme našim obyvateľom prinášať kvalitnejšie podmienky pre život,“ uviedol primátor Bratislavy Ivo Nesrovnal, ktorý podujatie v Primaciálnom paláci otvoril. „Z tohto dôvodu spolupracujeme na riešeniach niektorých bratislavských problémov, kam patrí aj revitalizácii verejných priestranstiev, s akademickou obcou či občianskymi združeniami, pričom túto vzájomnú spoluprácu považujem za veľmi inšpiratívnu, smart a teším sa z nej,“ dodal.
K zástupcom zapojených univerzít – STU v Bratislave, Masarykovej univerzite a Vysokému učeniu technickému v Brne sa na podujatí pridali hostia z univerzít vo Viedni a Ríme. Ako povedal odborný garant súťaže prof. Maroš Finka: „Smart city nie je o technológiách, ale i o rozumnom prístupe a spolupráci. Súťaž Muniss, ako i dnešné podujatie ukazuje, že mestá, Bratislava aj Brno, chcú byť rozumné a vykročili správnym smerom.“
Tím 1 – prvé miesto: Návrh revitalizácie Obchodnej ulice s dôrazom na spoluprácu kľúčových a záujmových skupín na tomto území

Slovami vedúceho tímu, prečo sa zapojili do súťaže a o návrhu: „Do súťaže sme sa spolu so študentmi zapojili, aby sme mohli prispieť do diskusie o verejných priestoroch v Bratislave. Pre námestie na križovatke Poštovej a Obchodnej ulice sme spracovali dva koncepty. Prvý bol dočasným využívaním tohto námestia a druhý bol konkrétnym dizajnom pre rekonštrukciu námestia. Dočasné riešenie bolo zamerané na poukázanie, pokiaľ ide o vyriešenie súčasného stavu za relatívne malej finančnej investície, napríklad vybudovaním dreveného pavilónu pre konanie diskusií, podujatí a podobne. Tento návrh sme podporili osadením informačných panelov s informačným systémom, ktorý bol súčasťou riešenia. Cieľom bolo oživiť toto námestie, pritiahnuť a zastaviť okoloidúcich a vytvoriť kvalitný verejný priestor, ktorý si Obchodná zaslúži.“
Tím 2 – prvé miesto: Revitalizácia námestia za hotelom Crowne Plaza & Návrh obchodnej ulice. Námestie Schöndorf - miesto pre každého

Jozef Hurban o súťaži Muniss: „Náš tím tvorilo 5 členov: Jozef Hurban, Adam Juhás, Barbora Pláškova zo Slovenskej technickej univerzity (Ústav manažmentu), Rebeka Vrbinčíková z českej VUT (fakulta architektúry) a náš externý člen Ján Urban taktiež z STU (fakulta architektúry). Na začiatku projektu bolo kľúčové získať čo najviac poznatkov zo stretnutí s hlavnými stakeholdermi (miestnymi aktérmi) ulice. Neskôr sme sa vo finálnom návrhu zamerali na riešenie Obchodnej ulice a okolia v dvoch hlavných rovinách. Prvá rovina sa venovala trom odporúčaniam pre Obchodnú ulicu v oblastiach ako bezdomovectvo a sociálna stigma, zeleň a vodný manažment či transformácie Obchodnej ulice na obchodné centrum pod holým nebom. Druhá rovina nášho návrhu sa venovala detailnejšiemu riešeniu pre námestie SCHÖNDORF (v preklade Krásna Ves – historický názov územia) za hotelom Crown Plaza a pre Poštovú ulicu, kde sme navrhovali verejný priestor so sedením a zeleňou, modulárne stánky pre pravidelné trhy s lokálnymi predajcami a vinárňou v parteri hotela Crown Plaza. Nevyužívaný priestor pozdĺž Poštovej ulice by sa využil na výsadbu zelene spolu s detským ihriskom či kultúrnym priestorom pre miestne komunity, pričom sa v návrhu počíta aj s výstavbou budovy so zmiešanou funkciou bývania a občianskej vybavenosti na rohu Poštovej a Obchodnej ulice. Cieľom nášho návrhu bolo priniesť do územia atraktívny verejný priestor, obnoviť historické hodnoty a zlepšiť celkový imidž Obchodnej ulice a jeho okolia v očiach nielen obyvateľov, ale aj návštevníkov hlavného mesta Bratislava.“
Po odprezentovaní oboch návrhov bolo zaujímavé, že sa v podstate dopĺňajú. Kým jedno riešenie bolo veľmi konkrétne a jeho realizáciou by sa zmenila funkcia riešeného územia pri hoteli Crowne Plaza tak, aby týmto územím ľudia iba neprechádzali, ale našli si aj dôvod, prečo sa tu zastaviť a zotrvať. Druhé riešenie hovorilo o priľahlých územiach, témach, ktoré je možné riešiť v krátkom čase a odvážnejších a dlhodobých zmenách. Návrhy sa dotkli sa aj riešenia otázky bezdomovcov v území a tiež hospodárenia s dažďovou vodou. Počas dvoch ročníkov vytvorili študenti pre Magistrát hlavného mesta SR Bratislavy zaujímavý zásobník ideí, návrhov a projektov, ktoré môžu byť začiatkom pozitívnych „smart“ zmien na Obchodnej ulici. Výstupy zo 6. a 7. ročníka budú vydané vo forme publikácie.
Po vyhláseníé výsledkov v Primaciálnom podujatí nasledovala ešte diskusia so zástupcami Bratislavy, Brna a Viedne, študentmi, hosťami a najmä verejnosťou v priestoroch Ústavu manažmentu Slovenskej technickej univerzity v Bratislave. Hosťami boli i námestník primátora mesta Brna Jaroslava Kacera, prof. Maroš Finka za STU v Bratislave, Jana Hlavová z kancelárie hlavného architekta mesta Bratislava, prof. Peter Smutný z Masarykovej univerzity v Brne a koordinátori projektu Ján Žák a Silvia Ondrejičková. Záver diskusie zhrnul moderátor Vladimír Ondrejička z Ústavu manažmentu STU: „Hoci sme hovorili o mnohých problémoch Obchodnej ulice ako čistota, vandalizmus, údržba, kvalita osvetlenia, spolupráca a iné, výsledok dnešného podujatia je optimizmus a ochota to zmeniť. Zmeniť Obchodnú nie revolučne, ale evolučne, to znamená spoločnými krokmi a aktivitami v spojení univerzity STU, miestnej komunity cez združenie Obchodná ulica a okolie, ako i zodpovedných samospráv a miestnych podnikateľov.“
