Process
Before mobility
Listen to the podcast featuring students who have already completed BIPs. You can also find useful information in the students' final reports in UIS.
Fill out the mobility application form and have it signed by your faculty’s Erasmus+ coordinator.
Once your application has been approved, the faculty will nominate you to the STU IRO.
After the nomination, the BIP coordinator will verify whether STU has an inter-institutional agreement with the university under the Erasmus+ program. Subsequently, a mobility record will be created for you in the UIS system, and a checklist for uploading the required documents will be made available.
Once the nomination documents have been received (by both us and the partner university), the student will receive an email with further instructions on:
- completing the checklist
- adding a bank account to UIS
After receiving the information from the BIP coordinator, enroll in the selected BIP program according to the host institution’s instructions.
No later than 4 weeks before the start of your mobility period, upload all required documents to UIS:
- confirmation of admission to the BIP
- BIP application form signed by the faculty coordinator
- Online Learning Agreement (OLA) or Learning Agreement
- a copy of the European Health Insurance Card (when traveling to EU countries) or commercial insurance (when traveling to EU or non-EU countries)
- emergency contacts
- a proof regarding eco-friendly travel (if you are applying for green travel support)
- travel tickets if traveling by train or bus
In the UIS system, please enter the current bank account held in your name at a bank in Slovakia. Your Erasmus+ grant will be paid into this account, and the account information will be included in the financial support agreement.
The student must sign the grant agreement in person at STU IRO during office hours. If the student is unable to appear in person to sign the grant agreement, he or she may authorize another person to do so, provided that person submits the original, notarized power of attorney. The original power of attorney will be attached to the grant agreement.
Within 30 days of the agreement being signed by both parties, students/graduates will receive 100% of the Erasmus+ BIP grant.
Departure for mobility.
During mobility
Participate in all of the program’s educational activities, including both the online and in-person components, in accordance with the organizer’s terms and conditions.
During your mobility, be sure to obtain the confirmations and documents needed to complete the administrative procedures, particularly a confirmation of the duration of your mobility and documentation verifying the credits you have earned.
After mobility
After completing your mobility, upload the following to the UIS checklist:
- Confirmation of Stay—must include the supervisor’s original signature, stamp, and the date of issuance
- Transcript of Records or a confirmation of program completion and academic achievements
- in case of green travel (carpooling), upload proof of fuel purchase along with a sworn statement as a single PDF file to UIS.
After your mobility period ends, you will receive an automatically generated questionnaire from the European Commission (Erasmus+ Participant Report) via email. Completing this questionnaire is a mandatory part of the mobility program.
